We recently stumbled up on this article on Elle Magazine’s website, and it got us thinking about the old adage “Less is more”

Many of our blog posts talk about the beauty in minimalist clothing design, how paring down your wardrobe can open up many stress-free styling option –but what happens if we apply the same minimalist approach to clear the clutter from other parts of our lives?

According to the Elle article, living with less is quickly becoming the ultimate trend in true luxury –and  does not require you to channel your inner neanderthal, or exist in a cold world of concrete and stainless steel.

We decided to wander the internet in search of some inspiration to get us started on the path to minimalist nirvana. Here are some of our favorite finds so far:

Joshua Fields Millburn & Ryan Nicodemus are the driving force behind The Minimalists –a blog filled with essays about living with less. Conversational, well written, and enlightening without being preachy. Definitely worth a perusal.

“When you concentrate on the orange, you feel the pleasant release of juice in your mouth. You experience the sweet taste of it…When you pop an orange slice in your mouth while watching a TV show, you barely notice the taste, much less the pleasure.”

Usually not the biggest fans of "fad diets" but the new trend of clean eating is one exception. It focuses on general health rather than weight goals –fewer ingredients, whole foods are in and processed foods are out– easy peasy.
