Edmonton Folk Fest!

We were incredibly lucky to spend the past weekend at one of our favorite summer events in the city –the Edmonton Folk Music Festival.

In addition to enjoying a consistently killer lineup of incredibly talented artists, the festival is an amazing event where families, friends, and even some out-of-towners come to kick back and enjoy the scenery from Gallagher park.

Charles Bradley, Delhi 2 Dublin, Feist, The Head and the Heart, LP, and The Avett Brothers were among some of this year’s main stage performers –and though their performances were absolutely incredible, some of our favorite shows came from the smaller stages. “Doom soul”/Gospel band Cold Specks’ lead singer Al Spx had us captivated with her vocals; we couldn’t help but dance to Shakey Graves; and Jonas Bonetta of Evening Hymns left us speechless with his hauntingly powerful performance.

If you didn’t get a chance to check out the festival this year, here’s what you missed (plus a few music videos to get your iTunes library up to speed)
