Blog   Buyer's Diary

Last month I made a quick trip to Paris to view the Sacai Luck Spring 2015 collection as well as a few Resort 2015 collections. My trip coincided with that of my boyfriend, Daniel’s (and his Brother, Arthur) buying trip for their menswear store, HAVEN – which was a rare treat! Due to fortuitous circumstances and timing, a few other friends happened to be in Paris as well so we ended up with a fun, unlikely group. Additional timely circumstances had my brother in Barcelona on a business trip at the same time – so I hopped on a short flight to crash his trip and take advantage of his accommodations (and to visit with him, of course) for a couple of nights before heading home. Here are a few shots (some taken, some borrowed) of the trip. Thank you to Nori Hayashi of Haven and Jan Micheal-Stasiuk for some of the photos below!

Heading for a night out in the Oberkampf area

First Stop – A personal favorite and a place I hit up every time I’m in Paris: Aux Deux Amis for a drink and snack.

We went to Le Châteaubriand for a late night dinner. Highly recommended when visiting Paris.

A visit with one of my favorite upcoming designers, Etienne Deroeux. You will find his beautiful collection at Coup in the upcoming seasons.

We’ve coveted A.L.C. from afar for too long. SO excited to have it en route to Coup for Resort ’15

Lunch in the charming garden at L’Hotel Amour.

Pigalle party at Le Carmen

First but not last time viewing the amazing Public School collection. You’ll see this perfectly minimalist brand in store for Resort ’15

I look especially forward to visiting the Sacai Showroom. Sacai Luck is a personal favorite brand which always provides something very unique. I was most excited about these Sacai Luck x Birkenstock x Tatami shoes. Amazing. I ordered both pairs for the shop (and myself). You can also see a sneak peek of the RTW collection.

We tried for Clamato down the street (which was full – on the list for next time) and ended up at this rightfully packed Vietnamese restaurant. Good comfort food after a long day.

We literally ran into our friend, photographer Kristen Bass (smiling at you below), on the streets (although had planned to meet her later)! So nice to spend time with this lovely lady in Paris.

Drinking wine in the streets . . . This was outside of a wine shop which set up a little table outside for customers to drink the wine they bought while waiting for their table at the restaurant next door.

The intense moment of Kristen’s first L’as du Falafel – a right of passage of sorts when visiting Paris. And there’s Jan (with the beard)! Jan’s a photographer (and friend) who worked with Haven before he recently moved to London, England. He traveled with the Haven crew while they were in Europe.

Said goodbye to Haven and Kristen as we went our separate ways. Off to Barcelona for a couple of nights to visit my older Brother, James, who was there on business with the company he works for, Vibia. There he is below!

While I mooched off and explored James’ fancy hotel digs, I found a lovely place to put in a few hours of work in the mornings.

Went to check out a few of my favorite Gaudi spots from when I first went to Barcelona 10 years ago!

James’ friend Kyler came for a couple of nights as well! Here are James and Kyler on the Ocaña terrace.

Dinner at Pakta

Au Revoir and Adios, till next time!
