As most of you know, I spend a good portion of September traveling to see the collections for the next season . . . followed by weeks of reviewing photos and notes and of course making some tough choices on what to order, in this case, for Spring 2015. Finally getting a moment on this long weekend (Thanksgiving for us Canadians) to do a recap on the blog!
First stop was the always bewitching New York City. I had the pleasure of having Alyssa Lau assist me on this trip. She was an awesome assistant buyer, behind the scenes photographer, and wingwoman ; ) and I will definitely be asking her to join me again! Alyssa was also doing some business on the side for her new project, New Classics – an online shop featuring sustainable and fair trade clothing (check it out –> www.newclassics.ca).
The beautiful ALC Showroom. ALC will be arriving at Coup for the first time in a couple of weeks!
Apiece Apart was a summer lover’s dream – muted tones, light flowy linens and jerseys, loose but sexy silhouettes . . .
Guess who’s coming to Coup for SS15? Look forward to Alexander Wang and T By Alexander Wang in the new year!
The bottomless options and combinations of Dieppa Restrepo . . .
My ongoing obsession with Reinhard Plank hats
Favorite look from Public School SS15 . . . Public School Resort will be arriving in about a month!
I had forgotten what a new pair of Chucks can do to your heels.
Another exciting new addition for SS15 – R13 Denim . . . leading so far in personal orders : /
One of my favorite pieces from the SS15 collections, this Raquel Allegra stonewashed denim trench.
The bustling 3.1 Phillip Lim showroom
Last appointment of the trip: The always subtle and feminine Mason by Michelle Mason . . .
And some iPhone snaps
All photos by the talented Alyssa Lau.
Posting Part II from Paris later this week!
