Buyer’s Diary FW15 | with India Rose

We just wrapped up the buying for what we feel was one of the best seasons we’ve seen in a while – Fall /Winter 2015. The collections were a perfect balance of fresh and familiar – refining and reinventing our favorite trends while introducing much needed shifts in women’s wear. Editing the collections was therefore at it’s most difficult and staff personal orders may be at an all time high! The last trip of the season was to Paris – you can read a bit about it below and check out the “behind the scenes” shots.

We had the privilege of having India Rose accompany us as our Guest Buyer. We hit it off with her instantly, first over wine and cheese and then over fashion – the way PFW should be! For those of you who aren’t familiar with India, she is a cool and talented creative director, digital consultant and content developer based in London, and is the face and voice behind lifestyle website india-rose.co. It was awesome having her with us and we can’t wait to receive the collections we picked out together. Stay tuned for India’s FW15 Picks and her customized shoe for Coup from Dieppa Restreppo!

Once again we had the ALSO very talented Alyssa Lau with us as a Buyer. Alyssa has worked with Coup for a couple of years now doing mostly PR but also a bit of buying, modeling, photography, and marketing. Alyssa is the creator of fashion blog www.ordinarypeople.ca and the founder and creative director of the sustainable fashion site www.newclassics.ca. “Alyssa’s Picks” will be up on coupboutique.com come FW15 as well – along with her customized Dieppa shoe too.
